Monitor PI to CONNECT connection

Sometimes, the PI to CONNECT agent seems to have some interruption in replicating data from a PI Data Archive into CONNECT data services. It would be beneficial to have some more monitoring options (in addition to what is available through the CONNECT portal) either by supporting performance counters in the Agent software or having some statistics available through the REST API. Either receiving a notification when data is not current anymore would be a great accomplishment. Connection stability is crucial for using CONNECT within a production environment.

    This feature has now been released! It is available in version 2.5.2827 and above of PI to CONNECT Agent.

    When configuring your PI to CONNECT transfer, select the option for "Send agent status and health metrics to an SDS stream." This creates a stream in CONNECT data services that can be used to actively monitor the PI to CONNECT connection and health information. For more information, review the documentation.

    It would be great if the agent exposed performance counters for PI Perfmon to monitor. We built a custom PowerShell script to pull the statistics from the AVEVA Data Hub portal to store in PI but a native solution would be better.
