PI to Connect Agent instance Failover

on behalf of customer: We would like to see agent failover added to PI to Connect. The PI System already provides high availability, and extending this capability into PI to Connect would deliver a resilient hybrid infrastructure end-to-end.

History recovery ensures no data loss, but failover also protects against loss of access, which is critical for operational dashboards, compliance reporting in the power sector and other applications built on top of Connect. This aligns with industry standards such as ISO 9001, OSHA, and IEC 62264, where availability and immediacy of data are expected.
