Enabling PI to CONNECT Transfer Configuration via API

Current Issue: To use CONNECT Data Services productively, we need to import sequential data streams and assets from our PI System. However, our asset landscape changes frequently. Manually adding each new asset and stream is time-consuming and limits our ability to fully leverage CONNECT.

Needed Solution: A feature we would like to see would be an option to configure the PI to CONNECT Transfer via an API. This could be in form of a list of assets and streams to which new items can be added or removed. If we add an asset to the PI System, instead of clicking through the CONNECT Data Services Portal we would be able to briefly call the API.

Value: For us, the value would lie primarily in automation possibilities and time savings. While clicking through the portal is a manual task, there are various ways to perform an API call. This would enable us to bring new assets quickly to our use cases. In a lot of use cases, usage of CONNECT Data Services is only viable if such a synchronisation can be achieved without too much challenge.
