Support POST/PUT/DELETE requests to allow adding/editing new Edge System Types

Allow customers to send POST/PUT/DELETE requests to the SoftwareManagement/Types endpoint so they can create/modify/remove their own custom Edge System Type

Currently only GET requests are supported and customers can only use the existing Edge System Types provided in CONNECT.

This would enable customers to monitor other edge systems that may not yet have been implemented by AVEVA and help drive adoption.

    This capability is essential for scalability and customer autonomy.


    Enabling POST/PUT/DELETE on the SoftwareManagement/Types endpoint would empower customers to extend the Edge ecosystem independently, accelerating integration of new edge systems without waiting for AVEVA development cycles.

    It directly supports faster customer onboarding, broader adoption of CONNECT, and reinforces our positioning as an open, extensible industrial platform rather than a closed ecosystem.
