Allow the PI Point description to not be populated by the adapter

Implement a configuration flag that allows one to NOT synchronize description from OPC UA server into PI Tag. In instances where the description is empty "", the description cannot be set in PI. Similarly, the description on the OPC UA Server side may need to be different than the one used on PIDA

    In the release notes it is listed under enhancements:


    Support for users to specify whether to replicate certain properties from the data source or keep existing value in the data endpoint


    And is configured in "Adapter-wide parameters" (includeSourceProperties)

    This is not reflected in the release notes at docs.aveva.com. Can you please engage with the documentation team to include it (and any other improvements which may have slipped through the documentation cracks).

    Thank you for your upvotes and comments. This request has been addressed in the latest release of AVEVA Adapter for OPC UA 1.6.0.296, which is now available in the Customer Portal.

    All the votes and comments from this Connector idea are equally valid for the adapter.

    I would extend the argument further to include UOM as described here

    which only talks about ADH, but should also include PI Server.
