AVEVA Adapter for MQTT (SparkplugB data source) to support payload compression from the source MQTT SparkplugB device.

Compression can be enabled at the Edge, for example Enable compression and/or aliasing at the Edge: For compression, either the DEFLATE or GZIP algorithm can be used to use to compress payloads before they are published.

However, the AVEVA Adapter for MQTT is unable to uncompressed the payload if we defined the dataselection. Example, the data will be show as GZIP only, and not showing the actual data

    We use compressed SparkplugB data as standard throughout the organization. We're currently having to run a subset of our MQTT data through an additional application to uncompress and send it back to a broker just for PI to consume - this is an additional part to maintain and makes it difficult to scale the solution.


    It would be great if the Adapter supported SparkplugB compression natively.
