The Adapter framework needs to be able to perform scaling on raw data

Many users want to use Adapters for the nre abilities they offer versus Interfaces:

Support for containers, Linux, edge deployment, new failover and fault tolerance, integration with CONNECT Data Services, etc.

HOWEVER, many sites use Interfaces that use PI Point conversion factors and scaling to apply offsets or conversion factors to raw data--and Adapters don't universally support applying conversion factors.

Without this, someone would need to add an external calculation to perform that scaling, which is extremely cumbersome.

Interfaces support conversion factors, and the Modbus Adapter also supports conversion factors; now we just need ALL Adapters to support conversion factors, please.
