    Clarity on the current state of EDS 1.0: 1. Local access is via unencrypted over HTTP 2. Remote administration is achieved via SSH which is encrypted 3. EDS egress to PI Web API and OCS is via TLS encrypted HTTPS endpoints 4. EDS Adapter to Device is dependent on the protocol. Modbus in unencrypted, OPC UA requires TLS.
