Edge Data Store Visualization

Ability to have basic visualization of data from the Edge Data Store for local operations.

    OSIsoft would like to better understand the needs around local visualization for the Edge Data Store (EDS). For example, what type of visualization, e.g. simple time series trends? Does the visualization serve one EDS or can data from multiple EDS be visualized? Note for the EDS v1 release, OSIsoft is relying on partners and end customers to develop their own data visualization applications using the EDS API.

    For field services teams, working on site, would be excellent been able to access to historical time series in the EDGE datastore. Just a embebed web page with time series trends (more than one per chart) with the possibility to download the data in csv format would work. The reason is that in many facilities Field Services teams does not have internet (no 3G/4G network available) and the Internet at the facility is filtered for security reasons, so they can not access the historical data in cloud corporative systems. Also, field service team are subcontractors, and do not have access to corporate PI System. So the idea is to let them access locally to the historical data to allow them make some analysis on site.

    A simple web based UI showing all configured streams, and allowing you to click on a stream to show the latest data and a summary of, say, last 10 values, would be enough to be able to validate that EDS is collecting data.
