remote ingress to EDS

Enable remote access to EDS OMF endpoint to support deployments where Adapter/OMF application is installed on different host/network to EDS because architecture must fit in with tiered networks for critical asset security. For example remote sites or assets with multiple networks separating data source from internet access.

    Data sources often sit on different networks than where EDS would need to go, and rather than opening firewall ports inbound to the secure control network and pulling data, we want to be able to run the data collection (PI Adapters) on the secure network and push the data through an outbound port to EDS.

    It would be useful to run an adapter in a remote location and have a technician carry a mobile device, running EDS, which would upload data from the adapter. EDS would be uploaded to PI/OCS when the technician docks the mobile device or come with wireless communication range.
